I will be joining the Dept. of Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources at Rutgers University in Fall 2025.
Open positions: The Sauer Wildlife Disease Ecology Lab is recruiting a 2-yr postdoc to start in October or November and grad students to start Fall 2026 (applications are due by December 2025). I am looking for applicants who are interested in projects exploring the disease ecology of amphibians and/or wild birds especially as they relate to climate change and urban ecology. Strong quantitative skills preferred for postdoc candidates. Contact me via email with a cover letter and CV. I will also be at the Ecological Society of America meeting in August and am happy to meet! Postdoc and grad student pay info. Postdoctoral applicants interested in starting Fall 2026 or later are encouraged to apply for Rutgers Presidential Fellowship (lsrf.org/due in October), LSRF Fellowship (due in October), and the Smith Fellowship (due in late September). I am happy to discuss fellowship project ideas, feel free to email me. __________________________________________________________________________ My research focuses on wildlife disease ecology and ecophysiology. I'm especially interested in understanding how host behavior and physiology influence disease susceptibility in the context of environmental change.
